e-government

Today, public services are being (re)designed towards service delivery to citizens and enterprises’. Their blueprints no longer reflect the organisation of a governmental administration.

The objective is to create added value to the 'customer' of the public services. Public services are therefore driven by concrete life events such as birth, education, housing, health… and the exchange of information, documents and allowances in those contexts.
And that’s exactly what e-Government is about: the automation of those flows through (all) governmental administrations concerned, irrespective of their level (federal, regional, local).

This way of thinking is clearly synchronous with Cegeka’s ideas of a business process driven automation.

Cooperation between all public authorities

Data exchange between the different governmental levels and administrations increases exponentially.
The conception and management of those data streams require major investments and a substantial expertise.
A domain in which Ardatis – part of Cegeka since 2006 – had already won its spurs in the past and in which today Cegeka fills a more and more prominent part.

Administrative simplification

Administrative simplification is still high on the governmental agenda. And it is obvious that ICT can make a valuable contribution.
Cegeka can provide first class references of projects in which citizen, official and the industrial world, meet through one single electronic platform.
We herewith refer to the internet ‘counter’ for the ‘manure’ administration plan (see reference case) or the (web)solution for the administration of RSVZ’s public mandates.

Better Administrative Policy

Today, the ‘Beter Bestuurlijk Beleid’ program (BBB – better administrative policy) of the
Flemish government has two concrete results: the remodelling of the Ministry of the Flemish Community and the agreements on management matters.

In the meantime, the Flemish governmental institutions have become EVA’s (externally privatized agencies) and IVA’s (internally independant agencies). Naturally, this involves structural changes. Organizations are being redesigned, working methods change, the information has to be reorganized, reports must be modified or created…

Cegeka continues its efforts to further develop its offering of flexible, process driven solutions for information and file management.
Furthermore, Cegeka has realized specific Business Intelligence solutions which meet the reporting needs in the context of the agreements on management matters.
