The 2020 horizon creates a great opportunity for you as functional software tester: you’ll get the chance to step into a new project where you will be helping create a top notch application which manages the air traffic in Europe.

What will you do?

  • You’re responsible for the validation of different baselines of the future air traffic and security management products delivered by several Agile development teams.
  • You verify if these baselines communicate correctly with each other and are according to the specifications provided by the business product owners.
  • You automate your tests as much as possible in order to be able to replay them regularly.
  • Your input will be mainly on functional level, however also technical documentation of each product requires your input.
  • You are the last validation step before handing over the product to the operations for final user acceptance.
  • You can imagine it will be complex and challenging, but that’s your ‘energizer’.
  • You will be part of a team of functional analysists, developers.
  • You will work in English speaking environment, so you can fluently speak and write in English. Speaking French or Dutch is an asset, not a must.
  • You will be working in Zaventem (close to NATO and Brussels Airport)

Who are we looking for?

  • You’re a fast leaner with a proven track record of at least 5 years in the testing application domain.
  • You can produce manual test specifications and automated test scripts and you execute them as well.
  • You prepare test plans and contribute to the test strategy
  • You’ve already worked with software integration activities: integration, configuration and installation of complex applications in a UNIX or LINUX and SQL environment.
  • You are of course very familiar with:
    • testing automation / performance testing tools such as Selenium, HP ALM, JMeter, Junit.
    • test automation tools like HP test suite or open source
    • software management tools like ClearCase and GIT
  • Furthermore, you have experience in working with SQL.
  • Having knowledge of some of the following tools/languages is a real asset:
    • Experience with load/stress/performance tests
    • Nexus, Gradle, OpenShift, Java, ksh, python.
