A 5G network offers lower response time and higher use density, supporting smoothly functioning VR and IoT applications.
Even more, 5G was developed specifically for industrial use and offers specific capabilities – like low latency and accurate positioning – that enable machine-to-machine wireless communication and precise localization of objects and people. Moving forward, 5G will unlock numerous high-bandwidth use cases that we only partly understand at the moment.
As long as the user is satisfied with “best effort” data connectivity, 4G is sufficient. But no 4G networks in Belgium offer connectivity for data traffic with end-to-end quality of service, which is what a 5G network can do. At some point a 4G network runs out of steam and one will have to migrate to 5G.
