The 2026 Release Wave 1 introduces meaningful enhancements to Dynamics 365 Human Resources that put people, planning, and experience at the center. From smarter recruitment workflows to tighter integration between HR and project delivery, these updates help organizations hire more efficiently and plan their workforce with greater confidence.

New features in recruitment app

The latest wave introduces significant enhancements to the Recruitment App, turning it into a more complete and integrated hiring solution. New capabilities span job posting, candidate management, interviews, and offer handling, reducing reliance on external tools and manual processes. By centralizing recruitment activities within Dynamics 365 Human Resources, organizations benefit from improved data quality, better process consistency, and greater visibility across the entire hiring lifecycle.

Offer management

A key highlight within recruitment is the introduction of offer management directly inside Dynamics 365 Human Resources. Recruiters can now create, manage, approve, and send offers from within the candidate profile, using standardized templates to ensure consistency, compliance, and brand alignment. Integrated approval workflows and e-signature support reduce manual back-and-forth and significantly shorten time-to-hire. For candidates, this results in a smoother and more professional experience, while HR teams gain better control and traceability throughout the offer lifecycle.

LinkedIn integration

Recruitment reach is further expanded through native LinkedIn job posting integration. Recruiters can publish vacancies directly from the Recruitment App to LinkedIn, ensuring openings are visible where professionals are already active. By leveraging LinkedIn’s targeting capabilities, job ads are better matched to relevant profiles based on skills, experience, and location. This not only increases visibility but also strengthens employer branding and helps organizations attract both active and passive candidates across global talent pools

Automate HR leave sync for accurate project planning and tracking

Beyond recruitment, Dynamics 365 Human Resources also strengthens operational alignment with the introduction of automated leave synchronization with Project Operations. Employee leave and absence data is now automatically reflected in project time entry, giving project managers an accurate, real-time view of resource availability. This improves project planning and workload allocation while eliminating manual updates and reducing the risk of planning errors caused by outdated or inconsistent data across systems.
