Senior Test Engineer

Cegeka UK are currently seeking a BPSS cleared Senior Test Engineer, on behalf of our UK Central Government client. Our client requires support with delivery of a large infrastructure projects portfolio across a wide array of sites. This would be a 12-month committal operating in a hybrid working capacity, with 3 days per week on-site expectations spilt between our client’s Leeds site, and would sit inside of IR35.

  • Undertake test planning activity including discovery capture, test definition and the estimation of test effort as part of a broader risk-based approach.
  • Identify and raise awareness of risks arising from the automation test results.
  • Identify new and implement existing test frameworks to improve confidence in testing
  • Be proficient in a range of coding languages; advise other team members in testing practices.

What you need to succeed:

  • Design and execute a wide range of functional and non-functional testing techniques and communicate test results
  • Ability to identity defects, alerting the business to them, and help prioritise them based on defect severity.
  • Working knowledge of different tools and techniques and ability to train others and advise on testing techniques and frameworks.
  • Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes.
  • Drive the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements.
