  • Take leadership in creating high level technical network designs
  • Support the pre-sales team when a network proposal and kit list needs to be prepared
  • As network architect you have a consultative role in complex changes or incidents
  • Provide technical advice to customers to solve various network and security problems
  • Analyzing business needs and requirements to come up with a technical network solution
  • You are the technical contact person responsible for negotiations with our customers (internal and external) and provide them with the necessary support. You are also responsible for the necessary transfer to management
  • Maintaining and defining the standards/protocols used within the Cegeka network
  • Contributing proactively to the continuous improvement of our (shared) network services
  • Maintain documentation and share knowledge with colleagues within the Network & Security team
  • Participate in the implementation of our generic security policy within network environments.
  • Shaping our public and private cloud developments
  • Installation and configuration of network components are not part of this position

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a networking related position
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT-related field
  • Knowledge of typical multi-tier architectures is present
  • You have extensive knowledge of networking and security solutions from Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, ... In addition, terms such as software defined networking (SDN), SD-WAN and IaaS do not scare you
  • You have experience with load balancing and wireless
  • Fluent in communication and able to prioritize
  • You are a team player, flexible and like a challenge
  • Ownership and discipline are in your blood
  • You have a great fondness for the public cloud. Terms such as PaaS, Expressroute, VPN gateway and virtual WAN are not unfamiliar to you
