Senior System Engineer NAS (All cities Greece)

You will be part of the storage team within the Global Operations Division in our company. We provide standard ‘state of the art’ services for fast growing customers and other divisions within our company. Your mission is to deliver and support enterprise storage solutions that provide stable services to meet our customers’ needs. In this manner, you will collaborate with multiple teams (Cegeka group, customers and third parties) in order to identify the best technical solution for the customer, thus ensuring and obtaining the desired result. As a member of the storage team, you will be involved in all aspects of managing and setting up storage environments. Besides managing different storage infrastructures and technologies, you will also handle complex performance analysis and troubleshooting. We also challenge you to identify opportunities so we can enhance / automate our processes and services. Your in-depth experience will allow you to advice and coach other members of the international team.#LI-RC3

• Joining an international team to help building our own cloud storage environments and dedicated customer environments
• Together with other senior engineers you decide on the standards and best practices for the environments
• You will be the go-to person and product owner for one or more technologies
• You will create and maintain technical procedures, manuals and processes
• On frequent moments in time, you will be responsible for handling a project on your own or assisting on one
• Participate in standby availability schedules (rotation about every 8 weeks) and planned maintenance windows
• You have an interest in automation and you would like to participate in automation related tasks
• Share knowledge with other team members and get involved in coaching and follow-up sessions with them

• You have 6+ years' experience in a similar position
• You have hands-on experience with operational managing and implementing enterprise storage systems
• You have extensive experience with NAS storage technologies and their concepts. LDAP, NFS, CIFS and multi-protocol(s)) don't have any secrets for you
• You have hands-on experience with Netapp NAS storage technology
• You have a good knowledge of MS Windows client and server operating systems (NTFS and Active Directory concepts)
• You have a good knowledge of networking protocols (TCP-IP)
• You have experience with bash scripting and are able to create / modify scripts on your own
• You have good experience on Storage Area Networking and the concepts
• Having knowledge on one or more SAN storage technologies is considered as a plus
• Strong desire to work in a collaborative environment
• You have a high analytical thinking capability to investigate and solve complex issues on your own
• Ability to adapt quickly to constantly changing business priorities
• Passion for IT and strong interest in self-development
• Strong team spirit, initiative and involvement
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
• Willing to travel (yearly trip to Belgium) for training or workshops
