NAS Storage Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior NetApp Storage Engineer to manage, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise storage infrastructure. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in NetApp ONTAP, storage protocols, SAN technologies, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and storage infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, proactive, and capable of working independently on complex storage environments while providing technical guidance to other team members.

• Manage and support large-scale NetApp storage environments in an enterprise environment.
• Design, implement, configure, and maintain NetApp ONTAP storage solutions.
• Manage technologies including SnapMirror, SnapVault, replication, backup, and data protection.
• Provide technical support for NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and LDAP integrations.
• Perform storage monitoring, capacity management, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, system, connectivity, and performance-related issues.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and stability of storage infrastructure.
• Support storage migrations, upgrades, new deployments, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Take ownership of project deliverables, timelines, technical quality, and successful implementation.
• Work closely with Windows, Linux, network, database, application, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support SAN, Fibre Channel, and zoning environments where required.
• Participate in planned maintenance activities and on-call/standby rotations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements using scripting and automation tools.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance and support to the team.
• Mentor and support junior engineers through knowledge sharing and technical coaching.
• Communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to storage infrastructure.

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or a similar role.
• Active NetApp NCDA certification
• Strong hands-on experience managing large-scale NetApp storage environments.
• Extensive experience with NetApp ONTAP.
• Strong knowledge of SnapMirror, SnapVault, and related NetApp technologies.
• Strong understanding of NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, and LDAP.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, NTFS, Linux, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience in storage implementation, maintenance, performance optimization, high availability, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with storage migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
• Strong understanding of SAN technologies, Fibre Channel, and zoning is an advantage.
• Exposure to Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible is a plus.
• Experience in implementing automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues.
