As an Automation Engineer, you are a highly valuable to the Data Management Backup team. Our platform's operations and functionalities are evolving quickly and maintaining infrastructure is challenging. This is creating a strong need for automation and we seek additional support for this effort.

  • You will work together with fellow System and Automation engineers from the Backup team. Your focus will be on maintaining and expanding the automation within the Shared
  • Backup environment and our Commvault Backup & Recovery solution, which mainly consists of Windows Server systems.
  • You will contribute to defining standards and best practices for infrastructure/applications.
  • You will design, test, implement and manage tools and systems for automating development, implementation, and management processes. This involves setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and various REST APIs.
  • You will manage the automation ticket queue to resolve bugs and process feature requests and/or product improvements.
  • You will ensure that the systems comply with security and compliance guidelines.
  • You will participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation based on a shift system.

What you need to succeed:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or demonstrable experience as an Automation Engineer of 3-5 years.
  • You are a team player, take initiative, and can work independently and accurately.
  • Required knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Jenkins and Git.
  • Familiarity with the DevOps ideology and tools.
  • Knowledge of Commvault Workflows, Sentry, Poetry, and Splunk is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies is definitely useful.
  • Experience and knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose and implement solutions with the available tools.
  • A natural interest in new technologies.
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • A background as a developer or experience working with developers is a plus.
  • Understanding of security principles and experience with implementing security measures
