The BI Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and models to support business intelligence and reporting needs across our partner's global operations. The role ensures high-quality, trusted data is available for analytics, decision-making, and performance management. The BI Data Engineer will translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.

  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from diverse sources
  • Develop and optimize data models for BI and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Azure)
  • Implement and manage data quality rules and data validation logic
  • Collaborate with business users to understand reporting & integration requirements
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise data warehouse environment
  • Ensure security, compliance, and access controls on BI data assets
  • Monitor data loads and resolve data-related issues
  • Document data pipelines, structures, and technical specifications
  • Continuously optimize queries and storage to improve performance
  • Performing technical analysis & solution design for projects and requests assigned to the team

What you need to succeed:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years relevant experience in (backend) data engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft BI stack and modern data architectures is required.
  • Strong skills in SQL, data warehousing, and data modelling
  • Experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Fabric, SQL, Azure DEVOPS (boards & CI/CD pipelines),
  • Good knowledge of ETL/ELT best practices, and scripting (Python)
  • Knowledge of DBT
  • Good understanding of data governance, security, and lifecycle management
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Boomi is a plus
