MSSQL DBA Engineer (All cities, GR)

You are part of the SQL DBA Team whose aim is to guarantee and maintain the functionality of the MS SQL server environments. Your mission is to deliver support for incidents, requests & problems of internal and external customers. You will investigate and solve technical problems assigned to you, while collaborating often within your team or several teams with different technical skills. Sporadically you will interact with Customers (internal and external) and third parties in order to provide a timely resolution to our Customers’ issues.

• You are responsible for managing, together with colleagues, 3rd line support for our customers
• You will implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA)
• You will be responsible for the installation, upgrade and configuration of the MS SQL server environments (in projects) to successfully set up the IT environment of the internal / external customer.
• Over time you want to provide the standby service to the end users to guarantee the agreed service levels (based on a rotation schedule of at least 8 people)
• In a proactive and critical manner, you investigate the IT environment of the internal / external customers and suggest the right improvement proposals
• You are skilled in performance tuning and rolling out best practices
• You contribute to new trends in the field of databases, as well as to further automation
• You ensure correct documentation, up-to-date procedures and draw up configurations to work with your colleagues in a standardized way to guarantee the stability of the environment
• You have a drive to continuously learn, maximize your technical skills and apply them fully within the organization

• 5+ years in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL with relevant experience on-premises and Azure.
• MS SQL certification is an asset, or you are certainly willing to achieve this.
• Terms like “Always On” and “Reporting Services” sound like music to your ears.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Scripting knowledge, knowledge of Database Security (encryption, data masking …)
• You’re a team player with a problem-solving way of thinking, you are analytical, communicative, customer oriented & stress resistant.
