Senior Network Security Operations Engineer - Fortinet (All Cities, GR)

As a member of the Cegeka Networking & Security Team, your mission is the day-to-day maintenance of the network infrastructure equipment our customers use. You will need to provide timely and professional support through diverse channels of communication. You will also deal with all technical matters assigned to your group and handle high-priority situations when necessary. The Networking Team operates in a 24 by 7 system. For this position, standby (on-call) work is required and performed on a rotation basis, approximately 6 weeks/year. Some additional out-of-office hours implementations might be necessary, but these are scheduled in advance and are performed only on a case-by-case basis. To meet internal business requirements, the team is expected to provide availability until 19:00. In practice, we as a team deal with this by having at least one engineer present until 7 p.m. on a rotating basis. 

• You offer operational support to our customers, by performing advanced technical analysis and implementations on network equipment covering multiple vendors, technologies, and solutions such as SD-WAN.
• You come into contact with different network environments.
• You participate in the maintenance of various network components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, ...), and will mainly be focusing on Fortinet technologies.
• You have good troubleshooting skills and thoroughly investigate the situation and possible solutions.
• You handle high-priority situations and take corrective actions during outages.
• You draw up accurate documentation, instructions, and procedures and keep them up to date.
• Together with the team, you think about optimizing our internal tools and make improvement suggestions for customer environments.
• You strive for customer satisfaction through close cooperation with your colleagues.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in Network Engineering roles and a genuine passion for IT and Networking & Security.
• You have a bachelor's or master's degree, supplemented with a Fortinet Certified Professional (NSE4) certification. A CCNA certification, NSEx/CCNP/F5 certifications are a plus.
• You are familiar with and have working experience on networking equipment from Fortinet such as Fortigate, FortiAP, Fortiswitch, Fortimanager.
• You have experience and/or interest in the following technologies: Switching, Routing, Firewalling, VPN, Loadbalancing, Wireless, and SD-WAN.
• You excel in analytical troubleshooting, work accurately, and are flexible and eager to learn and grow in the role.
• You are a confident, independent worker who takes the initiative, values teamwork, and is highly customer-oriented.
