As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing these solutions. We are expanding our team for our client Viollier. We build, maintain, and implement high-quality laboratory software for Viollier, a leading medical laboratory in Europe. In this multidisciplinary agile team of analysts, developers, architects, scrum masters and project managers, you will work on complex and challenging applications.
You design and develop software based on functional analysis and ensure good integration with external applications.
You maintain and expand applications in a high-quality manner to create additional business value for our end users.
You write high-quality, easily readable code and perform refactoring of larger functional parts where necessary.
You guarantee quality by applying test-driven development and continue to learn.
You actively collaborate through pair programming and share your knowledge to continuously improve the team's performance.
What you need to succeed:
Extensive Java expertise in analysis, design, implementation and delivery of applications.
Passion for Java development and hands-on experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSF, PrimeFaces, SQL and Kafka.
Functional and user-oriented approach to building applications, with a focus on usability and functionality.
A craftsman-oriented approach to software development: you are an expert who values quality and teamwork.
Excellent at writing clear, maintainable code and applying refactoring with an eye for quality.
In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design, including design patterns, and extensive experience with application integration.
Solid experience with relational databases and extensive knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Couchbase.
Familiar with technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Web Flow, Spring MVC and Java (versions 17 and 21).
Experience with event sourcing frameworks such as Axon is a major advantage.
You believe in the power of agile working and have expertise in application lifecycle management, DevOps, continuous integration and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
Excellent command of Dutch and English, enabling you to communicate effectively in an international team.
An affinity with healthcare is a valuable addition.
