European IT company Cegeka and Belgian bank Crelan have entered into a renewed long-term partnership. The agreement covers Cloud Services, Digital Workplaces and Security & Network Services and has a contract duration of almost five years.
The renewed partnership between Crelan and Cegeka started on January 1, 2022, whereby Cegeka, as preferred IT infrastructure partner, will support the bank in its further digitalisation.
The partnership, coupled with significant investments in IT infrastructure, will play a key role in successfully completing the merger with AXA Bank Belgium planned for 2024, including the migration of all data to one platform.
Investments will also be made in digital workplace services for all Crelan offices, with modern workstations.
"We are proud that Crelan has chosen to extend and expand our existing partnership. We are convinced that Crelan is making the right choice in order to successfully complete the IT integration together with Cegeka. In addition, in close cooperation with Crelan, we will manage the accelerated digitalisation of the bank. We are proud that our ambitious plan can contribute to making the future plans of this growing Belgian bank possible," says Stijn Bijnens, CEO of Cegeka.
