Cegeka and UZ Leuven have appointed Gertie Delande as CEO of their new joint venture, Nexuzhealth. She will be responsible for commercialising the electronic patient record for Nexuzhealth and developing the joint venture further. Gertie Delande will report to the Nexuzhealth board of directors.
The new CEO will start by ensuring the joint venture evolves into a commercial, client-focused organisation. ‘To continue leading the market, we have to keep innovating and adding new features for clients. Sint-Lucas hospital in Bruges, for example, has just activated a module to automate its radiology processes, from requesting medical imaging to reporting. Improving our software will enable us to achieve the joint venture's ambitions for growth.’
Gertie Delande (42) has been responsible for Cegeka’s healthcare division since 2013. Prior to this she spent 15 years as project and programme manager for the software development division. She has a master’s degree in Economics and Information Management from the European University College Brussels.
