Marc De Groote and Cegeka have jointly decided to end their partnership. As COO, Marc De Groote helped the Applications department to establish its name internationally in recent years.
“Marc and I are parting as friends,” says André Knaepen, Cegeka’s CEO. “Thanks to his robust network in the business world, Marc has achieved some admirable results in the past few years.”
Marc De Groote will not leave Cegeka immediately. “Marc will continue to round off a number of projects while simultaneously starting on his new assignment. All of his colleagues at Cegeka, myself included, wish him the best of luck.” André Knaepen continues: “One of Marc’s duties was to act as a mentor for my son, Tom. He has also completed that work today as Tom takes up a position on the Cegeka board of directors.”
Marc De Groote: “I have had a great few years at Cegeka. It is a company in a dynamic state of growth and I have enjoyed making my contribution. I think we can look back with satisfaction on a successful partnership.”
No successor will replace Marc De Groote for the time being. Colleagues who formerly reported to him will take over his duties.
