OMRO: The quick and flexible financial solution for small businesses

In the busy landscape of Romanian entrepreneurship, OMRO, a microcredit institution, went on a mission to empower small enterprises with rapid and adaptable financial solutions. Recognizing the need for a mobile application that could cater to the dynamic requirements of businesses, OMRO joined forces with Cegeka.

By the nature of their trade, OMRO wanted to provide its users with an as-soon-as-needed credit solution, using the latest mobile technologies. By matching invoices due, available balance and banking options, OMRO is able to provide micro-financing to small enterprises in need of liquidity, if and when required.

Cegeka assembled a team of three developers, a tester, a UX/UI designer, a business analyst, and a project manager. With a commitment to agility, the team embraced the Scrum methodology, breaking down the project into two-week iterations and holding demo sessions to ensure alignment with OMRO's evolving needs.

Overcoming challenges

2. Biometric Authentication: The need for a secure unlocking mechanism led to the custom implementation of biometric authentication on both Android and iOS platforms. Users could now unlock the app using fingerprint or face recognition, enhancing the overall security of financial interactions.

3. Fluid, Native-Like Navigation: Achieving a fluid, native-like navigation experience within the app was a challenge that was successfully tackled. The development team implemented a solution that significantly reduced the time traditionally associated with such projects, offering users a smooth and efficient interface.

4. Rich User-Inviting Interface: Crafting a rich, user-inviting interface was crucial to ensuring accessibility and user-friendliness for entrepreneurs with varying levels of technological familiarity.
