Business Central now allows users to create purchase orders directly from drop shipment sales orders, introducing a more intuitive and efficient workflow for drop shipment scenarios. Instead of navigating through order planning or requisition worksheets, users can generate the purchase order straight from the sales order itself. This direct link between sales and purchasing reduces the risk of errors, improves visibility into related documents, and ensures that drop shipment processes remain fast, accurate, and easy to manage, especially in high-volume environments.

Use self-billed invoices  

Support for self-billed purchase invoices is now fully embedded in Business Central, making it easier for organizations to manage self-billing agreements with vendors. When self-billing is enabled on the vendor card, all purchase invoices created for that vendor are automatically marked as self-billed, whether they originate from purchase orders or are entered manually. The introduction of a dedicated number series and a new posted self-billing invoice report layout ensures professional, compliant invoice presentation while reducing manual corrections and administrative overhead.

Quality control takes a significant step forward with the introduction of Quality Management as a dedicated extension for Business Central. This functionality enables organizations to define, execute, and monitor quality checks across purchasing, production, assembly, and inspection processes. By supporting configurable scopes, parameters, sampling rules, quarantine handling, and detailed reporting such as certificates of analysis, Business Central helps companies enforce consistent quality standards, improve traceability, and meet regulatory requirements.
