Cegeka is expanding its fast-growing cybersecurity division with the appointment of Anne Masson as the new Business Unit Lead for Cybersecurity & Networking in Belgium. Masson joined on September 1 and will work closely with her team and clients to enhance companies’ digital resilience.
Masson brings a fresh perspective to the cybersecurity world. “I’m often called an outsider in cybersecurity,” says Anne Masson, Cegeka’s new Business Unit Lead Cybersecurity in Belgium. “But that unconventional path gives me the broad perspective that’s needed. Cybersecurity isn’t just about technology; at its core, it’s a business built on trust.”
Trust as a key driver
Joining Cegeka gives Masson the opportunity to advance this vision. “Many companies overestimate their own cyber resilience. From ransomware to corporate espionage, the risks are higher than most realize. My mission remains the same: to make companies truly cyber resilient. Together with our clients, we want to take practical steps that make digital security achievable and effective,” she says.
At Cegeka, Masson will lead the Belgian cybersecurity operations, one of the company’s fastest-growing divisions. She will focus on strengthening the team, supporting clients in their digital journeys, and integrating cybersecurity with compliance and business continuity. The Cegeka Modern Security Operations Center (SOC) will play a central role. This 24/7 monitoring hub detects, investigates, and responds to attacks. “The SOC is the heart of our defense,” says Masson. “It ensures our clients are not just prepared but truly protected.”
Strategic move
Fabrice Wynants, Global VP Cybersecurity, Networking & Regulatory Compliance at Cegeka, calls the appointment a natural fit. “Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly critical for our clients. To keep pace with this rapid growth, we needed someone who could focus fully on the Belgian market. We’re thrilled to have Anne on board. Her energy and drive, combined with strong risk management experience, make her the ideal candidate,” Wynants says.
Geert Rottier, Managing Director of Cegeka Belgium, also emphasizes the benefits for local clients: “Cybersecurity is a top priority for every company today. With Anne joining our team, we strengthen both our expertise and our commitment to supporting Belgian clients. Her experience and vision perfectly align with Cegeka’s ambition to be a trusted partner in guiding businesses to cyber resilience.”
