The introduction of AI, particularly generative AI, has transformed Microsoft's technology and has revolutionized business interactions with data. Copilots, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, have shifted the focus from data input and reporting to extracting usable data in human-readable language. This makes data more accessible and actionable. Microsoft 365 Copilot, referred to by Giel Cuijpers from Microsoft as the 'coat hanger' for Copilots, exemplifies this approach, allowing users to interact with machines through natural language queries.

This transformative technology serves as a bridge between users and machines, simplifying interactions and enhancing productivity. The solution of Microsoft Copilot within Dynamics 365 also offers specific capabilities for various business functions, such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Sales. For instance, within Dynamics 365 Sales, users can inquire about the status of opportunities or review activity history using human-readable text queries. In addition, it also summarizes customer activity and emails which in turn saves time.

But there are more Copilots that users can benefit from. For example, Copilot Studio is part of the larger ecosystem that empowers users to modify existing Copilots or create custom functionalities. It allows for the integration of new data sources and seamless interaction with Microsoft 365 apps, providing valuable insights and answers to common queries.
