Java Developer

CTG IT Solutions is an IT Services Company dedicated to European Institutions. We are currently hiring a Java Developer, to join the multicultural team of a prestigious European Institution in Luxembourg.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Java Developer with 5 to 7 years of professional experience in software development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The candidate should have strong expertise in Java technologies, software architecture principles, and modern development practices.

Your Profile:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher)
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot
• Experience in developing RESTful web services and APIs
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and
  design patterns
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Good knowledge of SQL and database design concepts
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
• Understanding of security best practices and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, SSO)
