Monitoring & Application Performance Specialist

CTG IT Solutions is an IT Services Company dedicated to European Institutions. We are currently hiring an Monitoring & Application Performance Specialist to strengthen our team within a prestigious European Institution.

Key responsabilities:

• Daily operations of monitoring and application performance monitoring tools: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Icinga, Splunk.
• Design of management systems and other tools: design of architecture, technical evaluation of alternatives offered on the market, conduct of proof of concept, testing in pre-production environment.
• Implementation of new operational solutions, including production migrations, procedure definition, operator training, and development/customisation of tools.
• Evaluation of quality and efficiency of operations by definition and implementation of metrics; periodical follow-up of metrics; proposal of measures to improve quality and/or efficiency of operations.
• Knowledge at admin level and proven experience are required for one of the following tools: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Icinga, Splunk.

Your profile:

•  You have a Master’s degree and 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience.

Technical Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of ITIL best practices in ICT operations.
• Fluent in English

Expertise in at least 3 of the following domains:

• Log Management / Data Monitoring / AI / Machine Learning.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Microservices and Containers architecture.
• Cloud-based applications and services.
• Methodologies: DevOps, AIOps, ITIL.
• Basic network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, switches, firewalls, proxies, DNS)
• Basic data centre infrastructure (servers, virtual machines, storage)

Experience:

Minimum 6 months of experience in at least 2 of the following areas:

• IT Monitoring and Log Management in a centralised Operations Centre.
• IT infrastructure performance (fault management, capacity planning, or security management).
• IT support level 1 (Helpdesk) and/or level 2.
• Data mining, IT metrics and reporting.
• Customer care in IT services.
