Solution Architect

Your responsibilities

Strategic studies:

• Specification and implementation of architecture and technology studies, taking into account all aspects related to architecture and technology decisions, such as, but not limited to, user requirements, evolution of technology and standards as well as and aspects related to ergonomics, ecological footprint, availability, scalability, maintainability, evolution, installation, migration, operations, finance

• Evaluation of quality and efficiency of operations by definition and implementation of metrics; periodical follow-up of metrics; proposal of measures to improve quality and/or efficiency of operations

• Definition, preparation and execution of tests or proofs of concept

Engineering tasks:

• System Hardening (Windows, Linux and related databases/applications)

• Implementation of distributed and centralized monitoring and logging (syslog, syslog-ng, rsyslog, log analyzer, elk, nagios, eyesofnetoworks)

• Virtualization and containerisation of applications based on docker, VMware, Xen, KVM, Hyper-V, Linux Container

• Implementation of hybrid Cloud/On-prem architectures based on Software-Defined Network (SDN), Software-Defined Storage (SDS), Kubernetes

• Implementation of authentication solutions based on PKI (Openssl, Open-Source PKI, Microsoft CA) and Strong Authentication (Smart Card: RSA Securid, Gemplus, Aladin Token)

• Capacity planning based on usage history and forecasts

• Writing of technical specifications

• Support to the assessment of technical quality of offers

• Migration planning and supervision

• Inspection and quality assurance during deployment

• Assessment of performance of solutions; recommendations for improvement

• In relation to information systems: database implementation, customization and parameterization, prototyping and programming, testing and quality control, support, training and documentation

Training:

• Assessment of training requirements

• Elaboration of courses

• Implementation of training sessions

• Assessment of training results

Your profile

• Master degree in IT

• 8 years of similar experience minimum

• Fluent in English

• Certified knowledge of technologies defined above. Having one or more of the following certifications would be advantageous:

  o ITIL 4 Foundation

  o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

  o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  o Microsoft Certified: Solutions Associate: SQL Server

  o Microsoft Certified: Technology Specialist, Web applications

  o Microsoft Certified: Technology Specialist, Windows applications

  o Microsoft Certificate MCSA Solutions Expert

  o Microsoft Certificate MCSE Office 365 Professional

  o Microsoft Certificate Microsoft SharePoint Server Core Solutions

  o AWS Solutions Architect – Associate

  o Cloud Security Alliance: Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge

  o Certified Kubernetes Administrator

• International experience in projects related to the tasks above and namely with practical implementations such as architecture and technology selection, installation, configuration, test, operations

• Excellent knowledge of the norms and standards, of industry trends and of state-of-the-art implementation examples

Most Important Skills:

•  Docker (or equivalent): Building/managing containers, images, and registries
•  Kubernetes: Orchestration (ArgoCD deployments, scaling, monitoring) 

Infrastructure Automation

•  Configuration Management: Ansible (Chef/Puppet) 
•  Scripting: Bash, Python for automation 
•  Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, etc 

Linux Server Management 

• Administration: RHEL, CentOs
•  Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, load balancing 
•  Security: Hardening, patching, access control 

CI/CD Pipelines

•  Continuous Integration: GitHub CI, Atlassian, Jenkins
•  Deployment: Automated releases to multiple environments
• Version Control: Git (branching strategies, pull requests)

Cloud Platforms

• AWS, Azure: Compute, storage, networking, security 
• Scalability & Resilience: High-availability design

Nice to have:

• Tools: GitHub pipelines, Jenkins,ArgoCD, Bamboo 
• Release Management: Rolling updates, blue-green, canary deployments 
• Environment Consistency: Consistent dev/test/prod deployments 

• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with emerging DevOps practices 
• Collaboration: Working closely with developers, QA, and operations teams 
• Tool Familiarity: IDEs, build tools, test frameworks 

Software Development Fundamentals 

• Basic Coding: Python, Go, Java Spring boot, .NET Core 
• Testing & Code Quality: Unit testing, integration testing, code reviews 
• Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban
