For a strategic engagement with a client in the energy sector, we are looking for a Platform Architect who is eager to help build a robust, sustainable and future-proof platform. You’ll be working in an environment that currently consists of a mix of Microsoft/Azure, .NET Core applications hosted on Azure VMs, and legacy systems (such as Dynamics and integration tooling) and that is actively evolving towards a cloud-native platform built on Azure.   • As a Platform Architect, you define the direction of the platform and guide its evolution towards a modern, cloud-native architecture.
  • You define the platform architecture and roadmap towards a future-ready Azure platform.
  • You lead technical decisions around containerisation (AKS, Azure Container Apps) and integrations.
  • You establish and safeguard architectural guidelines and governance frameworks.
  • You guide and challenge development teams in their technical decisions.
  • You collaborate closely with stakeholders to build a future-proof platform.
  • You support the transition towards cloud-native architectures, including service mesh and GitOps.
  • You contribute to optimising SDLC processes.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are an experienced architect who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset. You are able to inspire others with your vision and bridge the gap between business and technology.
  • You have extensive experience with Azure cloud architecture.
  • You have strong knowledge of cloud-native platforms and containerisation.
  • You have experience with architectural patterns and integrations in complex environments.
  • You communicate easily and engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • You take ownership and actively contribute to sustainable solutions.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
