At Nexuzhealth, with offices in Hasselt, Leuven, Ghent, and Antwerp, we are working on the future of healthcare by developing powerful platforms and ecosystems in which all stakeholders collaborate for a healthier world. We go beyond providing an electronic patient record; we strive to support a wide range of users in healthcare. We are looking for an experienced AI Enablement Engineer to build out a scalable AI setup and related tooling across our engineering teams. In this role, you will ensure that everyone uses AI consistently and efficiently to analyze, design, implement, and operate our applications. You will drive the shift toward AI Native engineering through tool selection, hands-on setup, team enablement, and change management.

  • AI Tooling & Platform Setup: Evaluate, select, and configure scalable AI tools and platforms to support the entire software development lifecycle.
  • AI-Driven Engineering Operations: Enable engineering teams to consistently and efficiently leverage AI for analyzing, designing, implementing, and operating applications.
  • Agentic & Multi-Agent Workflows: Design and roll out agent-based and multi-agent development workflows, from AI-assisted code review to autonomous pipelines for well-defined tasks.
  • AI Cost Governance: Monitor and manage AI usage and spend across teams through budgets, usage dashboards, and smart model selection, so costs stay predictable as adoption grows.
  • Security & Data Governance: Define which AI tools may access our code and data, assess AI vendors, and set usage policies that protect patient and company data.
  • Education & Training: Build and run training programs, workshops, and documentation that help every engineer, from skeptic to power user, get the most out of AI.
  • Evangelism & Adoption: Advocate for AI Native engineering practices, introducing new AI capabilities and promoting best practices across all engineering teams.
  • Change Management: Drive cultural change and adoption, helping developers integrate AI seamlessly into their daily workflows while maintaining high quality and standards.

What you need to succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer or Engineer with a strong interest in AI tooling and developer productivity.
  • Experience in evaluating, setting up, and integrating AI developer tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, LLM frameworks, automated design/testing tools).
  • Experience in advanced usage of LLM technologies: developing agents and multi-agent systems, fully autonomous agent-driven development pipelines ("dark factories"), context optimization, cost management, self-hosting open-weight models, ...
  • Demonstrated skill in change management, tech advocacy, and mentoring development teams.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code (IaC) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data protection (GDPR) and the security aspects of using AI tools in a regulated environment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A can-do mentality: You propose solutions instead of raising problems and you can actively dive into the code.
  • You have experience within larger environments where multiple teams work together on the same product.
