Build strong client relationships and create new opportunities within Consumer & Retail.  Are you commercially driven, proactive and eager to build strong client relationships? As a Client Officer for Consumer & Retail at Cegeka, you develop relationships with existing clients while actively creating new business opportunities with organisations operating within the Consumer & Retail industry.  You stay close to your clients, understand their business needs and connect them with the right expertise within Cegeka. At the same time, you actively approach new prospects, expand your network within the Consumer & Retail ecosystem and identify opportunities where Cegeka can make a difference.  In this role, you combine relationship building with business development and contribute directly to Cegeka’s sustainable commercial growth within the Consumer & Retail market.  The position is available for both payroll employees and freelancers and can be based anywhere in Belgium. 

  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients within the Consumer & Retail industry and develop a strong understanding of their business needs and priorities.
  • Proactively approach new Consumer & Retail prospects, open doors and expand your professional network within the industry.
  • Identify client needs, commercial opportunities and potential risks and translate them into concrete actions.
  • Explore and develop new business opportunities by connecting Consumer & Retail challenges with Cegeka’s solutions, services and expertise.
  • Coordinate client questions and commercial opportunities with sales, delivery, service teams and other Cegeka experts.
  • Prepare and follow up client meetings, ensuring commitments, actions and opportunities are properly managed.
  • Contribute to account plans, client retention and the development of a healthy commercial pipeline within Consumer & Retail.
  • Stay informed about developments and trends within the Consumer & Retail market and use these insights to identify relevant opportunities.
  • Keep client and opportunity information accurate and up to date. 

What you need to succeed:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree and have already gained your first professional experience in a commercial, business development or client-facing role.
  • You have initial commercial experience working with clients within the Consumer & Retail industry, or have already built a relevant network within this market.
  • You are client-oriented and have a natural talent for building relationships and spotting commercial opportunities.
  • You enjoy approaching new prospects, opening doors and expanding your professional network.
  • You are comfortable developing both existing accounts and new commercial opportunities.
  • You are entrepreneurial, proactive and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • You are well organised, follow through on commitments and enjoy working with different teams and stakeholders.
  • You are eager to deepen your knowledge of technology and Cegeka’s solutions and services and translate this into value for Consumer & Retail clients.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
  • You are based in Belgium and are comfortable working at client locations, Cegeka offices and from home.
