Then the role of Lead Data Analyst within our Data & AI team might be the perfect next step for you!

  • As a Lead Data Analyst, you combine technical expertise with customer-focused consulting. You take ownership of end-to-end data & BI initiatives and help clients leverage their data in a secure, accurate, and optimal way
  • You engage with stakeholders and translate business and data requirements into scalable, future-proof BI solutions
  • You design and develop high-quality data models with a strong focus on performance, usability, and reporting design, while leading a team of analysts
  • You act as the go-to expert for complex topics related to dashboarding, data modeling, security, and governance
  • You contribute to metadata management and data classification initiatives to improve data reliability and reusability, supporting AI-driven and future-ready solutions
  • You ensure that clients handle sensitive data responsibly through proper data classification, security, and compliance practices
  • You deliver inspiring demos and workshops to clients and stakeholders
  • You contribute to innovation projects involving modern data platforms and BI architectures.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in data analysis, functional analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role
  • You possess strong expertise in SQL, Power BI, and data modeling methodologies such as Kimball and Data Vault
  • You have experience with, or a strong interest in, data governance (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Atlan) and metadatamanagement practices (such as data cataloging tools, data policies, and data lineage)
  • You have a solid understanding of broader data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data engineering concepts
  • Knowledge of Azure data services (such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric) is considered a plus, as is experience with Python
  • You combine strong analytical thinking with a customer-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
  • You can explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Microsoft certifications (or the willingness to obtain them) are an advantage
  • You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English
  • A certain flexibility towards travel is required as you will work regularly on site at the customer. You can also work from the Cegeka offices in Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven or Hasselt. There is also the possibility to work from home.
