Does Power BI hold no secrets for you? Do you get energy from building high-quality reports, translating business needs into smart BI solutions, and working with data? Then you might be our new BI Expert within our Data & AI team! As a BI Expert, you combine your expertise in Power BI with knowledge of data modelling, SQL, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric. You help our customer turn data into clear and actionable insights and ensure that end users can make the most of the available BI solutions.

  • As a Power BI Expert, you engage with the customer to translate business needs into high-quality, user-friendly BI solutions
  • You build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they are closely aligned with the needs of end users
  • You enjoy developing visually appealing, high-performing, and easy-to-understand dashboards
  • You translate functional and technical requirements into clear and high-performing BI solutions
  • You are responsible for data modelling, applying principles such as Kimball modelling
  • You use SQL to access, analyse, and prepare data for reporting purposes
  • You work within a Microsoft data environment, using technologies such as Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric
  • You guide and support end users and provide training on Power BI and reporting, enabling them to make optimal use of the available solutions
  • You work closely with business and technical stakeholders and know how to translate complex data challenges into understandable solutions
  • Innovation and knowledge sharing are high on our agenda. You keep up with the latest developments within the Microsoft BI and data landscape and have plenty of opportunities to further develop your expertise.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have several years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, with a strong focus on Power BI and report development
  • You have strong knowledge of Power BI and experience in developing and optimizing reports and dashboards
  • You have experience with data modelling and are familiar with Kimball modelling
  • You have a good knowledge of SQL
  • You have knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Azure and, preferably, Microsoft Fabric
  • You have strong communication skills and feel comfortable providing training and supporting end users
  • You have an analytical mindset and are able to translate business needs into concrete BI solutions
  • You are flexible, independent, customer-oriented, and a strong team player
  • You are able to communicate professionally in both Dutch and French
  • Knowledge of or experience in the energy sector is considered a strong plus
  • A certain flexibility towards travel is required as you will work regularly on site at the customer. You can also work from the Cegeka offices in Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven or Hasselt. There is also the possibility to work from home.
