Define the architecture. Make an impact. Think ahead. Are you an experienced network & security professional who thrives on designing architectures and defining technical direction? Do you enjoy working in complex environments where you make strategic choices and design future‑proof solutions? Then this could be your next step. As a Network & Security Architect, you play a key role in designing high‑quality network and security solutions for our customers. You safeguard the overall architecture, bridge business and technology, and act as a trusted advisor in challenging and complex engagements.

  • You design robust, secure and scalable network architectures for complex customer environments.
  • You play a key role in pre‑sales engagements: supporting sales and account teams with deep technical expertise, developing architectural proposals, contributing to solution scenarios and creating bill of materials that are both technically sound and commercially viable.
  • You take the technical lead in customer discussions during pre‑sales, explaining solutions, substantiating design choices and building confidence with customers.
  • You advise customers on complex changes and incidents, providing direction and helping to substantiate technical decisions.
  • You translate business requirements into concrete, future‑proof network and security solutions.
  • You act as the technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, including during negotiations.
  • You define, maintain, and continuously refine standards, guidelines and best practices within Network & Security.
  • You actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our network services.
  • You help shape our evolution in public- and private cloud.
  • You ensure clear documentation and knowledge sharing within the Network & Security team.
  • You ensure a smooth handover to delivery and service teams.
  • You place a strong emphasis on automation and AI, actively contributing ideas on how these evolutions can be leveraged to make network and security architectures more future‑proof, efficient and scalable.
  • This role is architectural and strategic in nature. Installing or configuring network components is not part of this function.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a network‑ and/or security‑related role within complex environments.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT‑related field.
  • You have a strong understanding of multi‑tier and enterprise architectures.
  • You possess in‑depth knowledge of enterprise network and security solutions, including routing & switching, firewalling, load balancing, and wireless.
  • In addition, you have experience with vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet and F5.
  • You are comfortable engaging with customers and can set priorities effectively.
  • You are customer‑oriented, take ownership, and work in a structured manner.
  • You are a team player who approaches new challenges with flexibility.
  • You have a strong affinity with Azure public cloud. Concepts such as PaaS, IaaS, ExpressRoute and Virtual WAN are familiar territory.
  • You have a clear vision on automation and AI within network & security and understand how these can be applied within modern architectures and service models.
