Senior Frontend Developer

Here’s our proposition:  You will develop innovative front-end applications using modern tech stack (React and TypeScript) and help us stay up to date in our technology selection as the front-end landscape continues to evolve.  As a senior developer you will also help other front-end developers grow through coaching, mentoring, and pair programming.

  • Design and develop new features in line with the functional requirements and architecture; 
  • Follow team coding standards and best practices; 
  • Focus on quality through test driven development (TDD) and continuous learning; 
  • Participate in learning and promoting events; 
  • Developing frontend applications using React-based stack: hooks, React Query, Storybook; 
  • Contributing to the in-house React component library; 
  • Supporting the LeasePlan frontend community by giving talks on the company internal meetups; 
  • Advocating for front-end development best practices; 
  • Developing people through coaching, mentoring, and management support; 
  • Assisting our recruitment teams in finding the right people; 
  • Doing whatever it takes to help LeasePlan Digital get the right solutions.

What you need to succeed:

  • Extensive experience integrating with RESTful APIs; 
  • Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, OpenID Connect and JWT; 
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD, code versioning and QA tools and processes; 
  • An appreciation of typed languages and functional programming; 
  • The confidence to speak up when you think something can be done better or smarter and the ability to accept compromises when necessary; 
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements; 
  • An agile mindset and experience with Scrum or other methodologies.
