What’s the strength you bring to your team?
I notice things. It sounds simple, but it's probably the thing that matters most in what I do. I'm genuinely curious, I don't take things at face value, and I care enough to look twice – whether that's in a codebase, a process, or a conversation. I tend to see the product behind the feature and the problem behind the ticket. Add nine years of mobile development to that and you get someone who's hard to catch off guard.
Do you have a secret weapon that you use in your professional and personal life?
It’s that I'm easy to talk to – and apparently quite funny, though I'll let others be the judge of that. People sometimes expect technical people to be serious and difficult to reach, and I enjoy proving that wrong. Humor and approachability get you surprisingly far, and if I can bring that while also knowing my MAUI inside out – that feels like a pretty good deal.
What fuels you in your day-to-day life?
Outside of work, I write poetry – think of it as debugging, but for feelings. I also love getting lost in complex novels, the bigger and more layered, the better. At home I'm kept humble by a cat and a dog who have strong opinions about my work schedule and very little respect for deadlines. What gives me energy is building things that matter – a technical tool that solves a real problem, a poem, a good workout. I can't do things halfway. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing with everything you have.
