At our EngineeringSTUDIO team within Cegeka, we are looking for a Full stack .NET Software Engineer to develop software applications as part of one of our agile teams.   • We develop complex and challenging business applications, using the latest tools and technologies.
  • Based on the functional analysis we handle hands-on design and software development, ensuring seamless integration with external applications.
  • You will join a driven agile team consisting of functional analysts, developers and a product owner.
  • Your team is part of a larger program team comprising multiple teams, so cross-team collaboration is often part of the job. We actively share knowledge and ensure continuous improvement.
  • The applications we build are of high quality and generate business value for our customers.
  • You write high quality, readable code and perform refactoring where necessary. We ensure quality through test driven development (TDD) and continuous learning and improvement.
  • Thanks to your extensive technical knowledge, you will also serve as the technical point of contact within the team.  
  • You will work 2-3 days a week from our headquarters at the Corda Campus in Hasselt, combined with working from home.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a .NET Software Engineer, including several years as a tech lead.  
  • You are familiar with OO design, the fundamentals of functional programming and their application in C#, Cloud Native applications and related design patterns.
  • You work in a test-driven manner, and you value the SOLID principles in your daily development work.
  • You have experience with Azure and Messaging concepts.
  • You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Azure CosmosDB). 
  • You bring experience in front-end JavaScript frameworks, preferably in React.
  • Application lifecycle management, continuous integration, build & release pipeplines and the necessary tools for this (such as Azure DevOps, Teamcity, Git, etc.) are familiar territory for you.
  • Being a team player is key. You'll join a team with a 'can-do' mentality that values your input, ideas and solutions. Knowledge sharing, curiosity, drive and flexibility are part of your DNA.
  • You will work in an English-speaking environment – the team includes colleagues from Belgium, Greece and Romania – so you need to be fluent in both Dutch and English.
