To expand our Data & AI team at Cegeka, we are looking for a Lead Data Migration. Within our dynamic team of data experts, you too will play a crucial role in our challenging projects. Your passion is to bring together data from different sources and process them so that the data can be used for data analysis, visualization and data science.   • As a Lead Data Migration, you will work with the projectteam to ensure that our customers are guided through their migration process.
  • You guide the customer in making choices regarding technical solutions and advise them on the right data infrastructure.
  • You analyze existing data structures.
  • You design and implement data migration strategies.
  • You perform ETL-processes to migrate data from source systems to target systems.
  • You ensure data integrity during the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data migration.
  • You optimize and document data migration processes for performance and efficiency.
  • You stay updated with new data migration technologies and best practices.
  • Your expertise also allows you to take the lead on the competence center around data migration.

What you need to succeed:

  • You preferably have a relevant bachelor of master degree (Computer Science, Information Technology,…)
  • You have several years of work experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.You have strong analytical skills and common sense. 
  • You have knowledge of SQL and Python and database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, …
  • You have knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
  • You have experience in data validation, cleansing and testing for accuracy.
  • You are familiar with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
  • You work according to a hybrid employment policy: from the Cegeka office near your place of residence (Ghent, Hasselt, Antwerp, or Leuven), combined with working from home and on site at the customer.
