Within the ‘Digital Business’ division, we are following this trend and are therefore looking for an experienced Project Manager for a strategic modernisation programme in the financial & insurance sector. Digital Business delivers innovative solutions to structurally modernise existing application landscapes. We provide strategic advice on how to successfully realise digital transformations, both technologically and organisationally. Legacy applications are renewed to fully leverage cloud capabilities. In addition, Digital Business integrates existing application landscapes with new solutions and develops custom software. How do we make this a success at Cegeka?   • You will join the ‘Digital Business’ business line, where as a seasoned Project Manager you act as a key partner for both our teams and a client active in the financial sector.
  • You take end-to-end ownership of modernisation programmes, managing planning, scope, budget, risks and quality. You focus on results, impact and business value, not just scope.
  • You actively follow up with delivery teams across development, analysis, architecture and DevOps. Depending on the project size, you manage one or multiple teams and safeguard alignment between different tracks, dependencies and impact on existing systems.
  • You act as a sparring partner for business and IT stakeholders. You challenge them when needed, both content-wise and organisationally, and ensure decisions are made based on clear priorities, risks and business value.
  • You proactively identify risks and issues, make difficult topics discussable and are not afraid to drive decisions when necessary to move forward.
  • You are the key point of contact for your client and work towards building a strong trusted advisor relationship with project and programme stakeholders.
  • You provide clear reporting on status, dependencies, risks and progress at both management and steering committee level.
  • You bring structure to complex stakeholder and multi-vendor environments and create alignment between business, IT and delivery teams.
  • You can work from our Corda Hasselt or Ghent offices, combined with remote work.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have at least 8 to 10 years of experience as a Project Manager within an IT or digital context, ideally in complex modernization or transformation programs.
  • You are energized by delivering business value for your client. You critically assess priorities, impact and feasibility and engage stakeholders constructively on these topics.
  • You are not conflict-averse: you dare to have difficult conversations, sharpen decisions and challenge stakeholders when needed to move programs forward.
  • You have proven experience managing stakeholders in complex environments and know how to create alignment between business, IT, delivery teams and external partners.
  • You are hands-on capable of diving deeper into architecture, legacy environments, processes and dependencies when required.
  • Experience in the financial sector, such as banking or insurance, is a strong asset.
  • You have a strong helicopter view without losing sight of the details.
  • You communicate fluently with C-level stakeholders, management and delivery teams, translating complex topics into clear, well-founded and solution-driven messages.
  • Collaboration comes naturally to you; you continuously strive, together with the team and the client, for the best possible results.
  • You can negotiate in a constructive way.
  • You have excellent communication skills, towards the team, the customer and management.
  • Your experience in digital transformation, complex stakeholder environments and bridging business and IT enables you to make an immediate impact.
