The mission within our Data Solutions Unit? To set up modern data platforms of the future with the latest technologies in Azure cloud. Do you want to contribute to this as a Databricks Engineer? 

  • In your role as Databricks Engineer, you will work closely with experienced colleagues on Business Intelligence, Big Data and AI projects for companies operating in different sectors. These projects are mainly carried out in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. 
  • Together with the team, you develop the ELT and ETL pipelines needed to retrieve the data from the source systems, transform it according to the predefined business logic, and make it available according to the lakehouse concept. In doing so, you also monitor the data quality, stability and security of these data streams.
  • You are constantly improving your technological skills by obtaining and maintaining Microsoft and Databricks certifications. 
  • With your coaching style, you know how to lift other project members to a higher level.
  • Cegeka is a Databricks partner. This gives you direct access to their solution architects for technical challenges or specific questions.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have an infectious enthusiasm about data & cloud services. 
  • You have experience in some or all Microsoft Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Explorer, Azure DevOps, ...)
  • You have advanced knowledge of Python, SQL and/or Scala.
  • You are a flexible, independent and collegial colleague.
  • Good communication skills, customer focus and accuracy are also very important in this role.
  • A certain flexibility towards relocation is required as work is regularly done from the client's premises. If your presence at the customer is not required, you can work in the Cegeka office closest to where you live (Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt or Leuven) where hybrid working is also possible.
