In your role as a Data Engineer, you work closely with experienced colleagues on Business Intelligence, Big Data and AI projects. These projects are mainly performed in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
As Data Engineer, you help our clients build scalable data platforms and work on projects in various industries, each with their own challenges.
Together with the team you will develop the ETL flows needed to retrieve data from the source systems, transform it according to the predefined business logic, and integrate it into the central data warehouse or offer it on the central data platform.
Data quality and robustness of the ETL processes are of great importance.

What you need to succeed:
You have a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in (Business) Informatics or Business IT & Management or a related field
You are passionate about data-driven solutions.
Previous experience with Databricks, Python, Scala of SQL is a plus.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Data Analytics Cloud platform is also an advantage.
You have (or would like to have) a Microsoft Certified Professional certification.
You have strong problem-solving skills.
You can work independently as well as with others and you are flexible.
You are a strong communicator, customer focused and accurate.
You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is an asset.
A certain flexibility towards travel is required as work is regularly carried out at customers' premises. If you are not required to be at the client's location, you can work in the Cegeka office closest to your home (Antwerp, Ghent, Hasselt or Leuven), and hybrid work is also possible.
