Do you have a preference for projects within network management? Do you enjoy building technical set-ups? Then Cegeka has the challenge for you! As a Network & Security Project Engineer you will be part of our Network & Security Team and help build technical set-ups within network infrastructure. 

  • You are responsible for the implementation and configuration of the technical components that are part of the sold solution
  • You come into contact with different customer environments, exceptionally you go along to customers. 
  • You are responsible for the integration/maintenance of the various network components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, wireless, etc.).
  • You thoroughly investigate the situation and possible solutions/improvements
  • You draw up accurate documentation, instructions and procedures and keep them up to date
  • You strive for maximum customer satisfaction through close cooperation with your colleagues.
  • You can work from our offices in Hasselt, Antwerp, Haasrode or Ghent in combination with hybrid work. 

What you need to succeed:

  • You have an incredible passion for Networking & Security
  • Working independently does not scare you off and you take the initiative to find the best solution; you think along with the customer
  • You are also a team player and particularly customer-oriented.
  • Troubleshooting with an analytical mind is one of your strong points
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree or extensive experience in the network field.
  • Product certifications or general network and/or security certifications are a plus.
  • You have experience and/or interest in the following technologies: Switching, Routing (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VRF, MPLS), Firewalling (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPN, Proxy (Bluecoat), Loadbalancing (F5), Wireless (Aruba), SSLVPN (F5), Authentication systems (VASCO/RSA...)
  • You are fluent in English
  • Your experience is strong to grow further in this role
  • Within the framework of your project, activities outside of regular office hours are part of your job
