Cegeka continues to grow! We have set up a new division within our Applications software department for an exciting long-term project with the Flemish Government. As an experienced project leader within the healthcare sector, you are the bridge between our customers and the development team.   • You will help to build applications that have an impact on 6.6 million Flemings, like you and me.
  • You will start in the business line 'Flanders Digital' where, as a seasoned Agile project manager, you will deliver projects for customers who are active in the government and social sector.
  • We focus on long-term projects from 1 to several years, meaning that you will manage (medium to large) projects, 1 or several project teams (between 5 to 20 persons).
  • You take on a coordinating role with continuous coordination between the subprojects.
  • You do not do this alone: you can count on a strong Agile driven team of developers and analysts.
  • Together with the team you will realize the project goals in terms of quality, budget and lead time; in short, you take ownership and ensure that delivery of the project is guaranteed.
  • Scope control is essential in our operation: you manage this together with the analysts. Discussing the continuous backlog evolutions with the customer, challenging the customer on requests for changes and making the customer aware of the budgetary impact, are part of your daily tasks.
  • This means that you discuss difficult issues with your client and the team (scope, budget).
  • You are the key contact for your client and you work hard to develop a 'trusted advisor' relationship with the project & program stakeholders.
  • You follow up with the client on the status of the project in all its dimensions.
  • You are used to deal with project issues & risks in a proactive way.
  • You identify new opportunities with your client and you participate in writing offers for new opportunities.

What you need to succeed:

  • You work in a permanent position or as a freelancer.
  • You are an experienced project manager who has successfully completed software development and/or software implementation projects in a healthcare environment.
  • You get enormous satisfaction from looking for the business value for your customer. You look at this with the necessary critical eye and enter into a dialogue with the customer.
  • You dare to have difficult discussions with your customer about scope, budget & risk: the tension between fixed price projects combined with an Agile operation are known to you.
  • You know the roadmap, do scope & backlog management: these are essential elements to make your customer aware of what is possible within the available budget.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Through your professional knowledge, social skills, flexibility and commitment, you manage to win the trust of our customers.
  • You have a helicopter view but do not underestimate the importance of details.
  • To manage your team you have excellent leadership skills. You are familiar with the scheduling and optimal use of available resources. 
  • Cooperation is a natural thing for you. You continuously strive for the desired result together with the team and the customer.
  • You can negotiate in a constructive way.
  • Excellent communication skills, both to the team, the customer, and the management.
