Do you consider that project management is much more than meeting the standard triangle (scope, budget, time)? If so, you are the colleague we are looking for.  Within our Project Management Department you will contribute to designing the vision for successful projects, glue delivery teams and clients while aligning all parties to the same goal and track for meeting it. As core activity, you will be responsible for managing and implementing complex, sizeable and/or strategical ICT projects mainly aimed to create the delivery framework for hybrid IT monitoring & Infrastructure Management services. Our projects, running under waterfall Prince2 methodology (and on occasions Agile), revolve mostly around taking over responsibility for managing customer virtual IT infrastructure and/or adding customer physical, virtual or cloud-based IT infrastructure to shared delivery service management.  You will also be involved in service definition / implementation projects, service improvement initiatives and other strategic initiatives.

  • Work on defining the scope, budget and timeline of projects along with project executives and other stakeholders (Service Delivery Manager, Operations Manager, Lead Architect, Technical Architect, etc...)
  • Analyze the impact of projects in order to guarantee a clear insight into the needs and the goals to be achieved while properly managing risks and issues
  • Draw up project plans (timing, allocation of resources, etc.) in order to realize, in a controlled manner, the required project within the predetermined timing, budget and quality standards
  • Collaborate with resource managers to build up project teams suited for the projects you initiate
  • Harmonize and follow up the work performed by the necessary project members in order to deliver a qualitative project efficiently, on time and in budget to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Review & prioritize project backlog items, enable project members to have a better overview & control of the project
  • Focus on team efficiency & motivating project team members to ensure quality & schedule adherence. Drive improvements to the overall process
  • Arrange daily stand-up meetings, scheduled project meetings, facilitate decision-making processes, remove blocking items
  • Report to project board and steering committee in order to provide them with correct and up to date information and enable them to make decisions based on this information
  • Manage project exceptions & change requests in a timely fashion. Propose solutions & seek approvals when exceptions are met (tolerances overrunning) or when changes are required to the scope, budget, timing or any other major project parameter
  • Monitor & report the status of the projects you manage on a weekly basis, issues & risks, ensure that the projects meet the organizational agreements, SLAs & OLAs
  • Provide post Go-Live support to the operational organization throughout the Hyper-Care period & stabilization
  • Provide implementation support expertise to Service Delivery Management team during the RFI/RFP stages (opportunity request)
  • Be in control of standard project governance on operational and tactical level in order to realize the required project within the set time frame, budget and quality expectations
  • Be accountable for the P&L of the project as well as internal reporting on this matter in order to ensure that the project meets the organizational and financial requirements and providing the management with accurate information concerning the P&L results
  • Coach and develop your project team members in order to ensure that their competencies, skills and know-how are used and developed in the best possible manner

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project manager in IT infrastructure environments and have experience with ITIL methodology
  • Masters Diploma 
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural, virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • A pragmatic approach to projects based on a proven project methodology. Prince2 practitioner is preferred
  • A proactive approach and a result-oriented attitude, focused on achieving the expected benefits
  • Ability to develop abstract concepts by thinking globally about values, systems and processes and translating these concepts into specific advice and original, workable solutions
  • The ability to convey enthusiasm and motivate people for change
  • Ability to assess and manage time as well as material, human and financial resources, including regular follow-ups and corrective interventions in accordance with the objectives to be reached
  • Excellent organizational skills. Discipline in your project approach
  • Ability to provide positive and negative feedback to others in a constructive way
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Solid knowledge of MS Project is a plus
