  • On a daily basis, your tasks will include: 
  • Architecture: Provide presales support in RFI and RFP - Define technology vision, goals, and roadmap - Support product management - Conduct proof-of-concepts and demos - Contribute to service R&D: new products, proof-of-concepts, lab environment.
  • Documentation : Service documentation (commercial & technical) - Operational documentation (tutorials, how-to guides, explanations, references, sizing guidelines, monitoring plans, backup plans) - Maintain SND designs for relevant services 
  • Operational : Address P1 incidents and perform Root Cause/Impact Analysis - Provide 3rd line troubleshooting and Break/Fix Support (bugs, HW replacements, TAC cases, etc.) - Respond to operational and ad-hoc questions - Handle day-2 operations - Support projects (customer onboarding) - Maintain and monitor NS VMware platform (assisted by VMware team) - Manage quarterly ISAE tickets - License management - RBAC management 
  • Lifecycle : Perform technology refreshes (install/migrate equipment) - Keep track of EOL/EOS and software status - Implement planned updates/upgrades or emergency security fixes - Conduct DR testing - Manage capacity - Clean up obsolete items and address NSPortal problems - Manage spare parts - Oversee compliancy and vulnerability management 
  • Automation : Maintain automation code (Ansible) - Manage automation infra (Jenkins) - Maintain request forms 
  • CMDB : Maintain CMDB documentation - Maintain ITIL schemas (Change category, Incident Area, RFC templates, etc.) - Maintain schemas (Classes, Family, specific fields, IPAM, etc.) - Manage Splunk indexes and dashboards 
  • Financial : Take P&L responsibility - Manage the budget - Oversee invoicing 
  • Procurement support : Order equipment, follow-up, and handle procurement interactions - Maintain vendor relationships and vendor portals - Manage vendor support contracts and escalation matrix 
  • Knowledge sharing: Pursue certifications - Attend vendor sessions, events, or webinars - Present at info-sessions (STAID session, visiting schools, etc.) - Oversee internship projects - Provide operational training - Contribute to blog posts and communication efforts
  • While this is an extensive list, you won't be handling these tasks alone; you'll collaborate with other engineers in the Cloud team to share the workload effectively.
  • As you will be co-responsible for some critical shared services, experience with the mentioned networking technologies is required. We don't expect massive experience with Ansible, but the willingness to learn should make up for that

What you need to succeed:

  • You have knowledge of the following technologies:
  • Internet Connectivity (Cisco, BGP) 
  • DDoS mitigation (Radware, Akamai) 
  • WAN and Express Route (Cisco, Azure, BGP) 
  • VPN tunneling (Cisco, Mikrotik) 
  • Managed Network Appliances (F5, Fortigate, pfSense, Palo Alto, VMware...) 
  • Out-of-Band & Emergency Network (Fortigate, Cisco, Opengear)
