Principle Security Advisor

• You are part of an international team of approximately 25 Security Advisors, spread across Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, Italy and the United States
• You provide functional leadership, stimulate, and inspire a growing team of Principal and Senior Security Advisors who guide clients on strategic and tactical security issues
• You create a culture of continuous growth, innovation, collaboration and ownership, where team members are encouraged to excel
• You know how to translate a strategic policy into concrete and achievable objectives for your team and motivate them to realize these with conviction and craftsmanship
• You conduct security assessments for clients based on the Cegeka Continuous Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) and the CISO Office as a Service model, based on standards such as ISO27001 and CIS Controls
• You prepare reports and present findings to the client.
• You guide clients on cybersecurity issues and relevant laws and regulations. In this role, you support them in continuously improving their resilience against cyber threats and are the driving force behind strengthening their security posture
• You analyze information from various platforms such as Tenable, CrowdStrike, Microsoft, Vectra AI, and RiskRecon, and advise clients on appropriate mitigating and/or compensating measures
• You delve into client risks and translate security requirements into concrete action plans. You advise both the client and internal Cegeka teams on the application of these requirements
• You are a sounding board within the organization and actively contribute to increasing security awareness
• You share your vision, offer support and provide advice to project teams, programs and management.

• You have at least 6 years of experience in a role within the field of Cybersecurity, such as advisor, consultant, analyst or information security officer
• You have proven experience in leading and guiding a team of security experts
• You know how to motivate, coach and develop them and to create an environment where collaboration, trust and results orientation are central
• You have a bachelor or master or you have have acquired an equivalent level through experience
• You have strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001. Knowledge of CIS Controls is a plus
• Certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM are an asset, as well as other relevant certifications within the field
• You have a hands-on and proactive work attitude, with a clear ‘can-do’ mentality
• You are flexible and capable of supporting different clients, technologies and services
• You have a broad expertise, including experience with SOC/SIEM environments, Identity Access Management (IAM) and Vulnerability Management
• You have excellent communication skills and are able to present clearly
• You know how to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, such as CISO’s, IT managers and engineers
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus
• You work from a Cegeka office (preferably one day per week in Hasselt), combined with remote work and occasional client visits.
