Are you an engineer with a passion for Artificial Intelligence? Do you already have experience in challenging AI projects and do you want to contribute to the next generation of solutions with Agentic AI, LLMs, and Generative AI? Then we are looking for you within the Data & AI team at Cegeka! As an AI Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement AI solutions that make a real impact. You will work with colleagues from Data & AI teams to translate concepts into robust software, from proof-of-concept to production.

  • You will develop and maintain AI applications (including LLMs, GenAI, and RAG solutions).  
  • You will integrate AI components into existing software architectures.  
  • You will build scalable and containerized solutions (Docker, containerization).  
  • You will develop APIs and connect AI services to external systems.  
  • You will work with embeddings and other AI techniques for search and reasoning.
  • You will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams according to modern Git and software development workflows.
  • You will join a close-knit, driven, and passionate team where working together is both productive and enjoyable – we even have our own Data & AI fun team.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Civil or Industrial Engineering Informatics, or a Bachelor's degree in Software Development (or equivalent through experience).  
  • You have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development and AI projects.  
  • You have knowledge of and experience with Agentic AI and LLM solutions / Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) / Docker and containerization / Git and modern development practices / Embeddings and AI architectures / API development and integration.  
  • You have extensive knowledge of Python. Experience with other programming languages is a plus.   
  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem and AI tools such as Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Search / Azure AI Foundry is a plus.   
  • You have a strong passion for AI and the drive to continuously learn.  
  • You are a team player with an eye for quality and innovation.
  • You work according to a hybrid employment policy: from the Cegeka office near your place of residence (Ghent, Hasselt, Antwerp, or Leuven), combined with working from home and on site at the customer.
