  • As a Teamlead Data Platforms you will lead and inspire a cross-functional team of 15 to 20 data professionals who manage and evolve the corporate data platforms of Cegeka.  Your team is responsible for both the current on-premise data environment and the transition toward a modern Azure-based cloud platform built around Databricks.  Your primary mission is to empower and guide the team, ensuring they have the right direction, resources and environment to deliver high-quality, reliable, and future-ready data solutions
  • You set the vision and strategy for the data domain, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technology direction
  • You define and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, compliance and proper lifecycle management
  • You lead, coach and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts and architects, fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
  • You support and guide the team in defining technical solutions, coaching them when needed to help resolve challenges or ensure delivery continuity
  • You are a strong people leader who thrives at the intersection of technology and teamwork. You empower others, foster trust and guide your team to deliver excellence in a complex data environment
  • You oversee daily operations and ensure stability of the on-premise data platform while supporting the transition to the Azure Databricks environment
  • You encourage collaboration between technical experts and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding
  • You facilitate alignment between project management, technical delivery and strategic business objectives.
  • You monitor the team capacity, priorities and delivery timelines; approve planning and leave requests
  • You conduct performance reviews, development conversations and set clear growth objectives.
  • You promote continuous improvement through agile practices and ITIL-based governance
  • You escalate or assist in resolving critical operational issues when needed
  • You report proactively to the management on progress, risks and resource needs.

What you need to succeed:

  • You are passionate about people leadership and data-driven innovation
  • You have a proven experience in managing or leading data teams
  • You are skilled in coaching both technical and non-technical profiles
  • You have a good understanding of data engineering and data platform operations, including both on-premise and cloud environments
  • Experience with Azure Data Services and Databricks, such as: Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data Explorer, Azure SQL Server, and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Reporting Services, or OLAP cubes.
  • You have a strong grasp of data architecture concepts (e.g., Kimball) to effectively guide and challenge your team
  • Awareness of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) and their emerging role in data ecosystems
  • You have a demonstrated ability to define and execute a data strategy/cloud migration roadmap and governance frameworks
  • You are a strategic thinker who translates business goals into a clear data vision
  • Experience as a scrum master or technical lead is a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira, Scrum or other agile delivery tools, release management or automation are an asset
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to builds bridges between business and IT
  • You are empathetic, approachable and assertive when needed
  • You are structured, organized and you have proactive mindset
  • You feel comfortable taking a hands-on role when necessary to support your team
  • You speak and write fluently Dutch and English
  • You preferably work 2 days a week from our office in Hasselt (Corda) and from home.
