As a functional analyst / scrum master, you form the bridge between our customers and the development team. You conduct the initial dialogue about the desired requirements and effectively translate them to the development team. The scrum master coaches the team in our scrum way of working. You therefore steer not only on content and progress, but also on process, continuous improvement and growth as a team. In your team lead role, you are responsible for the wellbeing of the employees in the team. We are looking for someone who can fulfil these roles in 1 of our high-performing teams for our largest client within the Smart Cities division. Does this sound like a great challenge for you?

  • You are the bridge between the customer and the team. You identify customer needs and have experience in performing analysis, testing and working in an Agile environment.
  • You translate requirements to the team during refinement sessions, constantly monitor the evolution of the backlog and challenge the customer on change requests.
  • You follow up the development and testing of the functionalities as described in the user stories.
  • You facilitate demo/review sessions with the customer.
  • You know what is going on in the team, coach them to be self-organising according to scrum and ensure focus and you remove obstacles for them.
  • You ensure that the team works according to Agile values and principles. You organise and facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retro sessions and stand-up meetings.
  • You support the developers in applying the right engineering practices to work productively and qualitatively.
  • You provide input on analysis and process optimisations.
  • You are the go-to person in the team for the well-being of your team members and you have an eye for support in personal growth of your team members. This includes being in charge of 121s, performance and evaluation interviews.
  • You strive for efficient cross-team collaboration.

  • You work 2 days a week from the Cegeka office at the Corda Campus in Hasselt, in combination with working from home.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have at least 5 years' experience as a functional/business analyst, ideally combined with the role of scrum master, in custom software development projects.
  • You highly value the well-being of team members and pay sufficient attention to the human aspect within the team.
  • You get energy from facilitating a team and building an "open feedback" culture.
  • You have extensive knowledge and experience of Scrum/ Agile.
  • You have strong analytical skills to understand and structure complex problems.
  • Knowledge sharing, eagerness to learn, drive and flexibility are part of your DNA.
  • You are an excellent communicator, both to the team and to the client organisation.
  • You are proactive and stress-resistant.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (the team consists of Belgian and Romanian employees).
