As a Business Development Manager at Cegeka, working within the Digital Business department, you are responsible for actively bringing in new customers and prospects for the Industry (manufacturing, automotive, oil & gas, chemicals, etc.), utilities and finance & insurance market. You focus on generating new leads, opening doors and identifying new opportunities within our area of expertise, including application development, integration services, application management services, DevSecOps, and more. Digital Business offers innovative solutions to structurally modernise existing application landscapes.  We provide strategic advice on how to successfully complete a digital transformation technologically and organisationally. Outdated applications can be renewed to make optimal use of Cloud capabilities.   In addition, Digital Business integrates existing application landscapes with new applications and develops customised software.  How do we make this a success with Cegeka?   • You actively approach potential customers through various channels, including your own network, internal Cegeka network, cold calling, social media (LinkedIn), networking events to to proactively present and sell our Applications solutions.
  • You enjoy making new customer contacts and expanding your network within the sectors in which we operate.
  • You detect needs in potential customers and engage in conversations to identify the needs.
  • You follow up the detected opportunities and in collaboration with the presales architects you work out concrete offers.
  • You work together with the sales team to manage the sales pipeline and track the progress of deals.
  • You also work closely together with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that keep potential customers 'warm' and provide them with relevant content to maintain and nurture their interest throughout the sales process.
  • You draft targeted sales strategies and sector plans to attract new customers, open up sectors and close deals.

What you need to succeed:

  • We are looking for a strong networker with solid sales experience in the Industry (manufacturing, automotive, oil & gas, chemicals, etc.), utilities and finance or insurance market.
  • You are an experienced sales (hunter) who opens doors and generates new leads, having a real ‘hunter’ attitude.
  • You have at least 3 years experience in a similar sales role within the IT sector, preferably in the application domain.
  • You are driven and result-oriented with a passion for sales and bringing in new customers.
  • You have a very strong sales drive to make new contacts: so having excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must.
  • You can empathize perfectly with the customer needs and work with them to find creative solutions.
  • You are proactive and independent, with a hands-on mentality.
  • You present fluently, are communicatively strong and convincing. This in both Dutch and English. French is an asset.
