As a Solution Architect Digital Business, you are the connecting force who proactively follows up, takes initiative and presents ideas convincingly to stakeholders and review boards. You work shoulder to shoulder with the client, the team and the enterprise architect to deliver future-proof solutions.

  • Landing the Plan: You translate the vision into a concrete, well-supported plan and ensure that decisions are made effectively
  • Proactive Follow-up: You monitor progress, identify risks and take initiative to remove obstacles
  • Influence & Storytelling: You present architectural choices clearly and convincingly, tailored to both business and IT audiences
  • Review Boards: You prepare proposals and defend them in the Architecture Review Board
  • Security in the SSDLC: You integrate security by design, including threat modeling and compliance checks
  • Modernization: You contribute ideas on legacy application modernization and how to evolve step by step toward a future-proof landscape
  • Collaboration: You work closely with the enterprise architect and other domain experts.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have 6 to 10+ years of experience in solution or software architecture, or as a senior engineer/lead with architectural responsibilities
  • You work in a Java environment; a Java background is not required. Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs and cloud (AWS) are a plus
  • You have experience with SSDLC, threat modeling and implementing security controls
  • You excel in stakeholder management, persuasion, inspiring others and driving plans to execution
  • Experience in the automotive sector, legacy modernization projects, TOGAF/Archimate and AWS certifications are considered an asset
  • You work 2 days per week on-site at the client’s location in Brussels, combined with remote work. Occasionally, you work from our offices in Hasselt or Ghent.
