  • As a Data Governance Lead within the Data & AI team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data governance strategies, processes and structures at clients. 
  • You will lead data governance projects from A to Z, acting as the bridge between business and IT.  
  • You advise clients on data policies, data ownership, data quality, compliance (such as GDPR) and data ethics.
  • You can support clients in the selection and evaluation of technologies (data catalogs, metadata management tools, etc.). From Cegeka's partnership, Microsoft is leading in this.  
  • You organize workshops and awareness sessions on data management and governance.
  • You work closely with both internal teams (internal data engineers, architects and business consultants) and client organizations to provide customized solutions in the area of data governance, data stewardship, metadata management and data policies.  
  • You act as trusted advisor towards C-level stakeholders in the area of data maturity.
  • You will work from the Cegeka offices or on site at the client, in combination with homework.  
  • You always work on different unique projects in a no-nonsense environment with a very individual approach. 

What you need to succeed:

  • You can already look back on several years of experience as a Data Governance consultant.  
  • Knowledge sharing, eagerness to learn, drive and flexibility are part of your DNA.  
  • You are able to convince an entire organization to become more data-driven.  
  • You have experience in designing and successfully implementing data governance solutions, including policies, processes and standards.  
  • You have knowledge of ETL, data quality, data profiling, data modeling, data visualization,...  
  • You can advise on what a Data Organization should look like with increase of roles such as DPO, Data Steward, ...  
  • You have data modeling skills.
  • You have knowledge of business compliance and regulatory requirements (GDPR,...).
  • You have experience with Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Purview, ...  
  • You have proven Project Management skills.
  • You enjoy giving presentations and/or training.  
  • You have a high sense of responsibility and are able to handle assignments independently.  
  • With an eye for risk and quality you work in a result-oriented way.
