Global Competence Lead - Strategic Advisory

Do you want to combine client-facing advisory services and strategic development of these services with leadership responsibilities?

• You lead and deliver high-quality, strategic security advisory services to clients, including risk assessments, governance strategy, compliance frameworks (for example ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST) and risk mitigation plans
• You engage directly with clients to understand their security posture, identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations to improve security operations and compliance
• You collaborate with clients to create tailored risk management frameworks, policies and processes that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• You act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (CISO, CIO, risk managers, etc)
• You provide expert guidance on security governance, risk assessments and compliance initiatives to ensure clients meet both industry standards and internal security goals
• You support clients in their ongoing risk management efforts, including security audits, assessments and continuous improvement processes
• You foster long-term relationships with clients by offering value-added solutions and identifying opportunities for additional engagements
• You manage a small but growing globally distributed team of consultants, providing day-to-day leadership, support and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services
• You drive the growth and professional development of the team by mentoring junior consultants, providing coaching on technical & soft skills and supporting career advancement
• You develop and implement a structured approach to the team’s growth, including hiring plans, training programs and growth paths
• You cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement within the team, ensuring they are empowered to deliver exceptional service to clients
• You develop and execute the strategic vision for the team’s capabilities, identifying new service offerings and improving current methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends
• You work closely with senior management to ensure alignment of the team’s goals with broader company objectives and client needs
• Together with the Sales and Presales teams you develop and position Strategic Advisory services
• You contribute to proposals, responses on Request For Proposals (RFP's) and client presentations
• You develop new service offerings based on market demand and emerging regulations
• You build strong internal relationships across product and sales functions
• You create reusable assets, delivery playbooks and best practices to enhance service consistency and quality
• You contribute to thought leadership in the cyber security GRC space, including white papers, blogs and industry presentations, to further establish Cegeka’s reputation in the market.

• You have 7-10+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) services. Experience in strategic advisory and client-facing roles is essential
• You have proven experience managing and leading a team of consultants or professionals, including developing and mentoring junior talent
• You have a Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent through experience
• You have a strong understanding of GRC frameworks (for example ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and familiarity with industry regulations, standards and compliance requirements (for example NIS2, DORA)
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of an organization
• You have a demonstrated experience working directly with clients in a consultative capacity, with the ability to influence decision-making and provide actionable solutions
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and to develop clear, strategic recommendations
• You are able to balance client needs with business objectives and contribute to the growth and profitability of the practice
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implement/Auditor or equivalent are highly preferred
• Experience in scaling and managing teams within a consulting environment is desirable
• Expertise in cloud security, digital transformation or emerging technologies (for example AI, IoT) as it relates to risk management are a plus
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic, client-focused environment are advantageous
• You work at a Cegeka office (by preference once/week Hasselt) and at the customer location combined with remote work.
