Senior Security Advisor

Are you passionate about Security and enjoy advising clients?

• You are part of an international team of Security Advisors (more than 15 people across Belgium, the Netherlands & Romania) and play a key role in bridging the gap between the client and Cegeka teams when it comes to Information Security & Cyber Security
• You analyze and report on the results from vulnerability scans and Cegeka’s SOC monitoring services. You advise on mitigating and/or compensating measures and improvements
• You are the driving force behind the continuous improvement of our clients’ security processes
• You are able to adequately understand client risks. You translate security requirements into an action plan and advise both the client and Cegeka teams on the implementation of these security requirements
• You act as a sparring partner within Cegeka’s organization and actively contribute to corporate security awareness (promoting the vision, offering support, giving advice) for project teams, programs and management
• You perform assessments for clients using the Cegeka Continuous Security Advisory Framework (CSAF), based on standards such as ISO 27001 and CIS Controls. You create the report and present the conclusions to the relevant clients
• You support Cegeka teams in day-to-day operational security activities by providing advice related to security.

• You have at least 4 years of experience in a Cyber Security-oriented role (for example as an advisor, consultant, analyst, information security officer, etc.)
• You have a bachelor/master degree or have equivalent experience
• You have a good knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001. Knowledge of CIS Controls is a plus
• CISSP and/or CISM certification and other relevant certifications are an asset
• You have a hands-on and proactive mindset with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• You are flexible and able to support various clients, technologies, and services
• You have broad expertise and experience with, among others, SOC/SIEM environments, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Vulnerability Management
• You have strong communication and presentation skills, and are able to engage with various stakeholders within an organization (CISO, IT Manager, engineering, etc.)
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
• You work from a Cegeka office (preferably once a week in Hasselt), combined with remote work and occasional client visits
