Within our EngineeringStudio unit, we develop complex and challenging business applications using the latest tools and technologies. We are currently looking for a Junior .NET Software Engineer to develop software applications for one of our largest and leading clients.   • You will be part of a driven agile team consisting of functional analysts, developers, quality engineers and a product owner. Together with the team, you will be part of a larger programme, which often involves cross-team work with people from different backgrounds.
  • As a full-stack developer, you will write high-quality, readable code in C#, with quality guaranteed through test-driven development (TDD). You will also ensure that documentation is up to standard.
  • You will translate the functional analysts' user stories into technical solutions.
  • You will put your code in Azure DevOps, learn to maintain release pipelines and be responsible for the operations of your own code.
  • You will actively participate in the daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • You will work two days a week from our head office at the Corda Campus in Hasselt, combined with working from home.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field such as Applied Computer Science or Computer Science.
  • You are eager to learn the ins and outs of .NET, C#, Azure and much more.
  • You are familiar with OO design, the basic principles of functional programming and their application in C#, Cloud Native applications and related design patterns.
  • You work in a test-driven manner and value the SOLID principles in your daily development work.
  • You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of topics such as application lifecycle management, continuous integration, build & release pipelines and the necessary tools for this (such as Azure DevOps, Git, etc.) are a plus.
  • Your eagerness to learn and passion for technological development means you enjoy delving into the latest tools and frameworks.
  • Being a team player is essential. You will be part of a team with a “can-do” mentality that values your input, ideas and solutions.
  • Knowledge sharing, curiosity, drive and flexibility are part of your DNA.
  • You will be working in an English-speaking environment – the team includes both Belgian and Romanian colleagues – so you are fluent in Dutch and English.
